1 - The Student 援助 Report

Approximately 72 hours after you submit the online FAFSA, the federal 过程or will send you a Student 援助 Report (SAR). The SAR summarizes the information you provided 在FAFSA上. Before making corrections, we recommend you speak with a 金融援助 Office representative for assistance.

2 - Application Review

Your FAFSA will then be sent electronically to PCC, and we will review it. 如果你 are missing any documents, we will notify you through your LancerPoint. 确保 you complete and return the required document(s) to the 金融援助 Office as soon 尽可能。. You should submit all documents at the same time.

3 - Award Notification

The application reviewing 过程 typically takes three to five weeks to complete. Once the review is complete, your preliminary financial aid is awarded. 一个初步 award is an award that you 可能是 eligible for that appears on your LancerPoint.

Preliminary awards may change due to student academic progress standards, and/or enrollment, therefore you may not receive the award amount that was originally posted.

Financial aid awards are subject to the availability of federal and state funds, your enrollment status at Pasadena City College (PCC) and your meeting all financial aid eligibility criteria. It is critical to notify the Office of 金融援助 of any of the following changes:

• Changes in your contact information such as a name or address
• A change in your state residency status.

4 - Special Types of Award Notification

如果你 received a Federal Work Study offer you will need to 'accept' the award on your LancerPoint. Once that is complete, contact the Office of 金融援助 to request job placement within two weeks of receiving the notification as funds are limited.
